MALE
Born in March 2023. Diego is from a litter of frail puppies that were just about a month old when we rescued them from the dog pound. Diego is the lone survivor, as his siblings all died shortly after rescue. He was nursed back to health, staying in Michèle's house. As he grew stronger he explored the farm and made plenty of cat, dog, and human friends. Despite being the smallest of the free-ranging crowd at the time, he turned out a confident bundle of energy and enthusiasm, ready to play with whoever came along. Diego now shares his space with other junior dogs. He gets along fine with his peers but has a bit of a bossy streak. Diego loves his people at the refuge. He's a tad shy around new faces at first and needs some time to warm up.
