I'm Vanci, a cheerful pup who takes life as it comes. Born on a farm I was fortunate to explore freedom at an early age, yet I longed for human connection. One day, this boy came along and we connected instantly. I suddenly found myself in between walls, spending many hours waiting for my new people to come home. For a young puppy I did really well, befriending the household cat, eagerly learning tricks, and playing outdoors with my human brother. Sadly I could not stay. I was sad at first, but have now settled in well at the refuge, where I've made many more dog, cat and human friends.

Background

Vanci was born on a farm south of Marrakech in November 2025. Two months later he crossed paths with a family from Agadir passing through. The puppy seemed to be alone and made friends with the family's teenage son, which prompted his mother to scoop him up. Unfortunately, keeping a dog was not compatible with their living arrangements and work schedule and so they entrusted Vanci to SARA after a few weeks of home care and a first round of vaccines. Vanci will be ready for travel abroad at the start of August 2026 and is just waiting for a stable and loving forever home.
