Bio
I’m Sana, a survivor who has come a long way. I was only a young puppy when a car hit me and I endured terrible pain. At the time I was scared of humans, but the kind people at SARA helped me regain trust and confidence. My curious nature pushed me to get out of my comfort zone. After a few months of recovery I was running around the farm playing with my new friends and socialising with cats. I still feel nervous around strangers but I bond with people who are patient and give me space. I’m one of the smaller pups here, standing 54 cm tall and weighing 17 kg.
My adopter should have some experience with shy dogs and help me socialise with patience and kindness. A home with other dogs and a garden would be amazing. I'm agile and don't have an obvious handicap, but my adopter should pay attention that I don't put too much strain on my back legs and be prepared to take me for medical checkups.
Background
Sana’s journey began on a busy city sidewalk, where she was found helpless and unable to move after a road accident fractured one of her thighbones. She underwent surgery and spent months recovering at our farm shelter. Thanks to her resilience and the team’s dedication, Sana regained her mobility. She does not require any special care at present and lives in a group of dogs.
