Hi, I’m Sabir! I’m a big, lovely boy who absolutely loves people and never says no to a little attention. I’m affectionate, friendly, and I have a beautiful smile that tends to appear whenever someone comes to spend time with me.

You might notice that I walk a little differently. One of my front legs is shorter than the other after the surgery I needed as a puppy, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life and being the happy dog I am today.

I’ve come a very long way from the puppy who could barely move when he first arrived. Now I’m simply looking for someone who will see the sweet, affectionate boy I’ve become and give me the chance to enjoy life in a home of my own.

Background

Sabir came to us as a young puppy in a very serious condition. He had a large open wound along his side and one of his front legs was badly deformed, bent into an L-shape. At the beginning, he was unable to walk and spent much of his first month or more with us lying down while his body recovered.

His wound needed a great deal of daily care and treatment before it finally healed, and the scar is still visible today. Sabir also underwent surgery on his front leg. Although the operation helped him, that leg remains shorter than the other, which gives him a slightly uneven walk.

Considering everything he went through at such a young age, Sabir’s recovery has been remarkable. The fragile puppy we once cared for has grown into a big, affectionate dog who loves people, seeks out attention, and seems very happy to simply be part of everything happening around him.
