Bio
I’m Milton, a gentle one-eyed grandpa. During my youth I struggled for survival on the streets until fate brought me to SARA many years ago. My favorite activities are napping, belly rubs and leisurely walks. While I'm a bit shy around new people, I'm all cuddles and tail wags once I've warm up to you. At the shelters, I've shared my space with more dogs than I can count and get along with everybody, including youngsters and puppies. Recently I bonded with a fellow senior I was paired up with and we've been out on walks together. After all this time behind walls it's so exciting for me to explore the countryside, and while I'm not used to being on leash I actually manage well.
If you're looking for a serene and discreet elderly companion I might be the one. All I wish for is a caring and cozy home to retire, and a human who loves me for who I am.
Background
Milton was one of SARA's early stray rescues. He spent several years at our Clebs shelter, sharing his space with dozens of other dogs, until we brought him to our farm in 2024. He is blind on his left eye but does not require any special care in this regard.
Our Happy Tales
We have helped over 150 dogs find their forever homes, bringing joy to both the dogs and their new families.
