Bio
Hi, I’m Izar, a small dog with a huge heart. I’m always the first to greet new faces with a wagging tail and a warm cuddle. My easy-going and gentle nature makes me a favorite around the shelter. I get along wonderfully with all my canine companions, and I never hesitate to join in on playtime or snuggle up for a cozy nap. If you're looking for a gentle and affectionate family companion, I'm a perfect choice. I'd be happy to share my home with other dogs or cats. Standing 50cm tall and weighing 15kg, I’m petite and easy to lift up. Due to a shoulder issue I need a little extra care and am not suited for high-intensity sports.
Background
Izar’s journey began when she and her littermates were rescued as orphaned puppies from the dog pound. With no mother to care for them, they were brought to our farm refuge, where they grew up in a safe and caring environment. Izar has a dislodged shoulder bone - the shoulder bone pops out unnaturally when she walks. We don't know if this stems from an injury when she was little, or whether it is a bone malformation, and it must get checked out. She doesn't, however, have any special needs and her mobility is little affected.
Our Happy Tales
We have helped over 150 dogs find their forever homes, bringing joy to both the dogs and their new families.
