Bio

I’m Anika, a lively and spirited lady. I love spending time with my SARA caretakers. The joy of seeing human friends gives me the zoomies and an urge to wag my tail til it hurts. As for strangers, I approach them cautiously at first, but it doesn't take long for me to warm up. I also get along wonderfully with other dogs, which makes me a great pack member. I love sprinting and jumping, and my adopter should enjoy exercising outdoors with me. A home with other dogs and a garden would be ideal. I'm a slender lady with distinctive sighthound features, weighing around 23 kg.

Background

Born on the streets of Inzgane, a suburb of Agadir, Anika and her four siblings were threatened with poisoning and seeking shelter from heavy rain when a concerned resident reached out to SARA for help. We rescued them together with their mum, Monika, and the family stayed together at our farm shelter until the little ones were independent. Anika is the only one of her family still left at the shelter. The others have long been adopted, living in Canada, Switzerland and Morocco.
