Bio
I'm Ami, a friendly and sociable lady. Growing up as a stray, I learned to survive in the city on my own. In fact, I was well integrated in my neighbourhood, coexisting peacefully with humans, dogs and cats alike. But my life took a bad turn when I got sick. Thankfully, the people of SARA scooped me up and got me treated. It took some time for me to recover - too long to release me back to the streets. I've since adapted well to life at the refuge, peacefully sharing my space with many other dogs. I'm currently looking for a sponsor. Ideally, I'd also like to find a forever home one day. I know I'm lucky to be cared for at the refuge, but I do miss the freedom I once had.
Background
We named Ami after Les Amicales, the Agadir neighbourhood she comes from. Back in 2021, a concerned resident alerted us about Ami being in very poor health. She had vaginal prolapse and needed urgent veterinary care. After her recovery period at our farm refuge, releasing her back to the streets wasn't an option, so we took her in.
Our Happy Tales
We have helped over 150 dogs find their forever homes, bringing joy to both the dogs and their new families.
