Bio

I'm Amber, a spirited and energetic dog. Growing up in a multi-dog and -cat household when I was little, I was well socialised and I formed a strong bond with my human foster mum. At the shelter, I get along great with my canine peers. While I don't immediately cuddle up to visitors I do strive for human connection. My adopter should have some canine experience already. I'd very much enjoy outdoor activities such as running and hiking.

Background

Amber was born in the streets of Agadir to a purebred Sloughi (Moroccan sighthound) mother and a stray father. She and her litter mates also bear German Shepherd features. The mother, Jet, was looked after by residents of her neighbourhood, but after she gave birth and her litter was attacked, we brought the whole family to safety. After the rescue, Jet didn't show any interest in her puppies, and so they were brought up by SARA volunteer Hazel and her multi-dog & -cat household. Jet was adopted later in 2022, living a comfortable and relaxed life in Germany. One of Amber's sisters has also moved to Germany since. Amber, Coral and Opal are still waiting for their forever home.
