I'm Vanci, a cheerful pup who takes life as it comes. I'm playful and like to move around a lot. Born on a farm I was fortunate to explore freedom at an early age, yet I longed for human connection. One day, this boy came along and we connected instantly. He took me home and I had to adapt to life indoors, spending many hours every day waiting for my people to come home. I did pretty well for a puppy: I befriended the household cat, learned tricks eagerly, and joined my new buddy on bike rides outside. When my family dropped me off at the refuge I was sad at first, but soon settled in, making new friends. I'm the perfect pet for active people who enjoy outdoor activities and will take me on trips and playdates with peers. I like being around children and am used to living with cats.

Background

Vanci was born on a farm south of Marrakech in November 2025. Two months later, a family from Agadir spotted him while passing through. The puppy made friends with the family's teenage son, prompting the boy's mum to scoop him up. Unfortunately, keeping a dog was not compatible with their living arrangements and work schedule and so they entrusted Vanci to SARA after a few weeks of home care and a first round of vaccines. Vanci is now ready for travel abroad, just waiting for a loving forever home.

Welcome Your New Friend Home

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.
