Hi, I’m Oscar! I might look big and serious at first glance, but I’m actually a very gentle, affectionate boy. Once I know and trust you, I really show my soft side, if one of my favourite people is nearby, I may even cry a little until I get their attention and some affection.
I enjoy my own space and like taking things at my pace, but I get along well with the other dogs around me and I’m not one to look for trouble. Every now and then, I still join in for a bit of play too.
I may be one of the older dogs here, but I still have plenty of personality, affection and life in me. I’d love to spend my senior years with someone who sees the gentle boy behind my serious face.

Background

Oscar is one of our oldest and longest-standing residents. He has spent many years with us and has become a familiar and much-loved part of shelter life.
Over that time, we’ve come to know him as a calm, gentle dog who forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. He lives peacefully alongside the other dogs, enjoys having his own space, and still surprises us with playful moments from time to time.
After spending so long at the shelter, we would love nothing more than to see Oscar experience the comfort and closeness of a home during his senior years.

Welcome Your New Friend Home

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.
