Hey, I'm Melissa! I'm a smart, curious girl who enjoys having the freedom to explore and do things my own way. One of my favourite things is wandering around the farm, sniffing interesting places and seeing what's happening around me.

I'm comfortable sharing my space with other dogs, puppies and even cats. I generally get along well with everyone, although I do appreciate my personal space. If another dog bothers me too much, I'm not afraid to let them know. I guess you could say I'm a girl who knows what she likes!

I'm also quite clever, and the team believes I could learn plenty of things with a little patience and some tasty treats. I think I'd enjoy having someone who takes the time to teach me new tricks and keep my curious mind busy.

I'd love to find a family who appreciates my independent personality, gives me room to explore and enjoys spending time with a clever little companion like me.

Background

Melissa came into our care together with her puppy. Our team welcomed them both and made sure they received the food, care and attention they needed.

Since arriving, Melissa has settled well into life at our farm shelter. She enjoys roaming freely around the farm and is comfortable sharing her surroundings with cats, puppies and dogs of different ages.

Over time, we've come to appreciate her independent personality and intelligence. She is a curious dog who enjoys exploring and generally lives peacefully alongside the other animals, although she sometimes prefers not to be bothered.

We believe Melissa has great potential to learn new things with patient, reward-based training. Now we'd love to see her find a family who will appreciate her character and give her a home where she can continue enjoying life.

Welcome Your New Friend Home

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.
