Hi, I’m Pavlos! I may be blind, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying my days. I know my way around the shelter pretty well, and even if I occasionally bump into one of my dog friends, I simply carry on.

I’m a very sweet and affectionate boy, especially with the people I know. I recognise my favourite humans by their smell, and as soon as I realise they’re nearby, I get excited and come over with a big smile, ready for some attention.

The accident I went through took away my sight and left my neck slightly tilted, but it certainly didn’t take away my happiness. I still love being around people and enjoying the little things every day. I would love a patient, caring home where I can feel safe, learn my surroundings and have someone close by to love.

Hintergrund

Pavlos came to us after an accident that left him blind and affected the position of his neck. When he was first brought to the shelter, the people who had found him were frightened of him and had placed a blue bag over his head. Because of their concerns, we were cautious when we first approached him too.

It didn’t take long for Pavlos to show us who he really was: a gentle dog who had no intention of hurting anyone. We began caring for him, gave him good food and the treatment he needed, and later had him vaccinated and sterilised.

Today, Pavlos lives happily at the shelter. He has adapted remarkably well to being blind, knows the people who care for him and greets them with genuine excitement. Seeing him continue to enjoy life despite everything he has been through is something very special to us.
