Hi, I’m Mojo! I’m a gentle senior who likes to take a little time before deciding that someone is safe. I can be timid with new people, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want their company I simply need patience and the chance to build trust at my own pace.

Once I start feeling comfortable, I’ll come closer and begin to show more of myself. I think I would do best with someone calm and understanding, who won’t rush me and will let our bond grow naturally.

I may not be the dog who runs straight into your arms on the first day, but with time, kindness and consistency, I have every chance to become a very special companion.

Hintergrund

Mojo was one of around 400 dogs we rescued from the animal center. He was among the fortunate dogs who made it through that difficult period and came into our care, where he was vaccinated and given the attention he needed.

The way Mojo had previously been caught and handled left him wary of people and affected his ability to trust. Since joining us, we have given him the time and space he needs, and he has gradually learned that people can be kind.

He is still a little cautious today, but he is able to approach people and continues to make progress. Mojo does not need to be pushed he simply needs someone willing to give him the patience, security and understanding that will help his confidence keep growing.
