I’m Zafir, a graceful Sloughi with charisma. I seek the company of people and trust them quickly. Those who have met me say that I’m a true gentleman thanks to my polite manners and calm demeanor. I enjoy affection but I don’t impose myself on my visitors. I also know to walk nicely on the lead without pulling and behave in the car, even when I clearly don’t fit the seat - see photos 😆 I run fast but also spend a lot of time resting. Going to new places is fun for me as I’m a natural explorer and adapt well. You must know that I’m a keen hunter, trained to hunt hare and other wildlife. When I spot cats and birds I can’t help myself, I get really excited and want to chase and catch them. If you have cats, rabbits or chicken at home I’m not a good match for you. My adopter should have experience with sighthounds and regularly take me to secure outdoor spaces where I can socialise and let off steam. A home with other sighthounds and a (well-fenced) garden would be ideal. I get on great with other sighthounds and am used to sharing my space and resources. Sadly, my pack has shrunk as one dog after the other got adopted, and now it’s just me and little Amir. I miss their company and also really need a larger space to run and explore.
