Hey there, I’m Rhapsody. I’m an affectionate dog with a protective nature, especially when it comes to my loved ones. I’ve had a rough past, but with patience and care, I’ve learned to trust familiar humans. I can be defensive with strangers, so I’m looking for an experienced adopter who can provide a reassuring environment and appropriate guidance. I’m smallish, about 50cm tall at the shoulder and weigh 17kg. I’m ready to find a loving home where I can feel safe and secure.

Rhapsody was rescued from the dog pound in July 2023, along with her two puppies. She appears to be a Samoyed or Pomsky, presumably abandoned by her owner. Her behavior suggests that she was mistreated in the past. While nursing her puppies, Rhapsody was very protective and tried to ward everyone off. With patience, SARA team members gained her trust. Now, she is affectionate with familiar humans but defensive with strangers. Rhapsody is looking for an experienced adopter who can help her settle into a reassuring environment with appropriate guidance.

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.
