Hello, I’m Opal, a spirited and joyful girl born in February 2022. My playful nature and cheerful personality make me a wonderful companion. I thrive on making connections with people and am always eager for a game or a cuddle. Growing up among a big group of dogs, I get along beautifully with my furry friends and love being part of the pack. My sunny disposition and affectionate demeanor ensure I bring a lot of happiness wherever I go.

Background

Opal’s journey started on the streets of Agadir with her sisters, Amber, Coral, and Pearl. They faced a dangerous situation when some residents attempted to poison them. Fortunately, local dog lovers stepped in, and we were able to rescue them. Their mother, a Sloughi (Moroccan sighthound), was adopted into a loving home in Germany. Since Opal’s mother rejected her pups, our volunteer Hazel took them in, caring for them in a household filled with cats and dogs until they were strong enough to join us at the farm refuge. Opal has been nurtured in a caring environment and has received all necessary medical treatments to ensure her health and well-being. Now, she’s ready to find a forever home where she can share her boundless energy and affection. If you’re looking for a joyful and loving companion, Opal is excited to meet you.

Welcome Your New Friend Home

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.

We’ll evaluate your application and discuss with you whether the dog(s) you’re interested in are a good match. If not, we’ll suggest other wonderful dogs that share a similar appearance, yet better suit your lifestyle and expectations.
