Hey there, I’m Diego. I’m a confident and energetic pup who loves to play with anyone who comes along. I get along well with other dogs and have made plenty of friends, including cats and humans. Although I can be a bit bossy, I love my people at the refuge. I’m a tad shy around new faces at first, but I warm up quickly. I’m looking for a loving home where I can share my enthusiasm and energy.

Background

Diego was born in March 2023 and is the lone survivor from a litter of frail puppies rescued from the dog pound. After his siblings died shortly after rescue, Diego was nursed back to health in Michèle's house. As he grew stronger, he explored the farm and made many friends among the cats, dogs, and humans. Despite being the smallest of the free-ranging crowd, he turned out to be a confident bundle of energy and enthusiasm. Now, Diego shares his space with other junior dogs, getting along well but showing a bit of a bossy streak. Diego is ready to find his forever home where he can continue to thrive and share his playful spirit.

After confirming your adoption, we’ll assist with travel logistics to bring your new friend home safely and cost-effectively. If you’re in Morocco or can visit, you’re welcome to pick up your dog directly from us and have a tour of the animal refuge.
